Fu¢k Da Lemonade
Pardon my departure from my normal PG language but I am trying to get myself motivated, pumped up or “amped” if you will about a situation that I really do not want to be involved with. So fuck the lemons and the fucking lemonade.
So my situation made me stop and think about that old adage of, “when life gives you lemons make lemonade”. Granted things are not going to always be peachy, sticking with the fruit metaphors, but just because you’ve been given a lemon does not mean you have to accept it. Making lemonade when you really want apple juice does not get you closer to fucking apple juice. Hell if you are about to die of thirst then make some lemonade but if time allows hold out for the apple juice.
Sometimes we have no choice but to deal with the lemons. It is those times when you need to make that lemonade sweet and enjoy the fruit of your labor!
So when life serves you lemons throw those mutha fuckers back and go get what you want!
Between
Some days I feel like I am stuck
between heaven and hell
Neither familiar but know well
I turn to face one but feel
My betrayal to that which I ignore
Heaven has it rewards
Hells bounty too is full
Stuck between heaven and hell
Life is so cruel

Tempting Unmet Needs
Comedian Steve Harvey just made a thought provoking observation; Subcombing to a temptation is the act of meeting a need in a wrong way. This principle can be extended to absolutely any circumstance. Although not profound it does cause one to give pause to the human condition and consider at a deeper level what our struggles are really about. All things that tempt us are at some level tap into one of basic needs. Sex, food, knowledge, or survival. Yet we strive so hard to supress so much or to coral our needs and desires into neat well arranged containers. So I ask you this, is it our response to the need that is wrong or is it that we have misunderstood the need?
Blind Universe
The universe is blind to the events in our lives. Events that occur to us are assigned no polarity, either positive or negative, by the universe. They just happen either by our own design or by the design of those around us. The impact or the significance of these events is assigned by ourselves. We break the neutrality of the universe. We give priority and value to each and every event that we experience. To maintain the neutrality of the universe we would have to adopt a cold and dark ambivalence. Be void of all emotion. Unconscious.
It is only through the constant assessment of the events in our lives that we are able to grow. Looking analytically at these events with an eye to understanding their significance, hopefully honestly and objectively, gives depth and life to the void that we might have become.
Crisp twenties!
